Linda’s client loved the living room window, until the afternoon sun came blazing through.
One of the issues with this window is it is west facing and creates a lot of heat as well as light. Linda solved the problem beautifully with this a flat arched valance with pleated cascading ends.
The view from the stair landing shows how stunning this window treatment is. What really makes a difference is the trim. The braided top tasseled fringe set the valance apart from the stripped panels. The secret here is each 122 inches long panel is lined with black-out fabric.
The treatment looks just as beautiful when closed. The beauty is the black-out lining blocks the intense afternoon light and heat that normally pours through this window.
